Solid-State Physics: Conduction in Solids, Theories of Conduction in Solids, Extrinsic Semiconductors (Doping), Junction Diodes, Transistors, Integrated Circuit. Modern Physics: Black Body Radiation and Planck's Hypothesis, The Photoelectric Effect, The Compton Effect, Matter Waves, Models of the Atom, Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity. Nuclear Energy: Nucleons, Nuclear Symbols, Isotopes, Nuclear Masses, Average Binding Energy per Nucleon, Nuclear Forces, Nuclear Reactions, Radioactive Decay and Half-Life, Induced Nuclear Reactions, Fundamental Particles and Interactions 2(S) 35 hrs (236 hours for the school year, including computer science)

Global History & Geography:Text Used: Barron's Review Course Series Let's Review: Global History and Georgraphy Fourth Edition by Mark Willner, M.S., Mary Martin, B. Ed., Jerry Weiner, Ph. Music: Keyboard 4(E) 15 hrs (35 hours for the school year)

Physical Education: Elliptical, Resistance Training, Daily exercise 4(E) 15 hrs (90 hours for the school year)

Teacher Comments:  (992 hours instruction total for the school year) Jacob is registered for three courses for the fall semester at HVCC: English Composition 2, Western Civilization and the World 1, and Basic Math with Study Skills. He would like to complete the 24-Hour Credit Program at some point within the next year or so. He also would like to pursue the Web Design and WWW Programming at HVCC. Still awaiting results of California Achievments tests as of 7/14/13 - will forward to the school district upon arrival.
